Many international companies and universities rely on the Test of English for International Communication (TOEIC®) to reliably assess practical English skills. At Eloquia you can take the TOEIC® in the Institutional Programme on your preferred date or in the Public Programme in fixed group sessions, in person in Frankfurt. Participants in our language courses can also take the Institutional Programme online.
Institutional or Public Programme?
Both versions are identical in content and are scored to the same ETS standards. You can take both at Eloquia in Frankfurt. The difference lies in the dates, the booking and the score report.
If you need your result for an application in Japan or South Korea, for example, or if the organisation explicitly asks for a score report with a photo, choose the Public Programme. For most other purposes, such as employers, further training or universities in Germany, the Institutional Programme is usually enough. If in doubt, ask the organisation that requires the result.

Public Programme (PP)

Good to know for the Public Programme
- When booking, you upload a passport-style photo (ISO format) for your score report. On test day, bring a valid ID with photo and signature (identity card or passport).
- Changing your date means cancelling and booking a new session; the ETS Global cancellation terms apply. Fees are not refunded if you do not attend.
- Organisations can ask ETS Global to verify your score for up to 2 years after the test date.
- If you need special arrangements, contact ETS Global before registering.
Current exam dates and online registration
This is where you book the Institutional Programme. The Public Programme can only be booked with ETS Global.
How booking works: a year-round registration window is shown (1 Jan – 31 Dec). You register and pay the exam fee, entering your preferred date and time in the booking comments field. We then confirm your individual appointment, subject to availability.

TOEIC® Listening and Reading
200 multiple-choice questions in two sections.

TOEIC® 4 Skills

At our school or online (remote)
In person at the school
You take the TOEIC® on site in our test centre on Kaiserstraße in Frankfurt – Mon–Thu, 09:00–16:00. A standard on-site procedure, without online check-in.
Online / remote proctoring
You take the test conveniently at home or in the office – Mon–Sat at fixed start times, with live supervision via camera and microphone. Available only to participants of our language courses.

Important: start time and check-in – only for remote tests
For online/remote tests, please let us know your preferred start time in the comments field of the booking. This time marks the start of the check-in (identity check and briefing) – the actual test only begins afterwards. Please allow for this lead time and be ready and on time for check-in.
Note: This does not apply to in-person tests at our school – here your appointment time corresponds to the standard on-site procedure.
Example times – the exact times depend on your booked start time. The key point: your start time is the beginning of check-in, the test itself starts later.
Quickly to the exam
In-person L&R results: digital score report 1 working day after the exam, printed certificate approx. 7 working days. 4 Skills: digital report approx. 14 working days, certificate approx. 3–4 weeks. Slightly different deadlines apply to online tests.
FAQ
What is the difference between TOEIC® L&R and 4 Skills?
TOEIC® Listening and Reading tests listening and reading comprehension (200 multiple-choice questions, 2 hours). TOEIC® 4 Skills additionally covers Speaking and Writing (approx. 2 hrs 20 min. in total). Both formats are available as in-person and online tests.
What is the difference between IP and PP?
Both tests are identical in content and scored to the same ETS standards. You take the IP on your preferred date and book it directly with Eloquia; its score report is an official ETS document without a photo. The PP takes place in fixed group sessions, is booked only with ETS Global and comes with an Official Score Report with photo that is recognised worldwide. You mainly need the PP if a score report with photo is required, for example for applications in Japan or South Korea. See the comparison
Can I take the TOEIC® online?
The online test with remote proctoring is available exclusively to participants of our language courses; you can take the in-person test in Frankfurt without this requirement. For the online test you need a PC/Mac with a webcam, microphone and a stable internet connection (≥ 2 Mbit/s).
How quickly will I receive my results?
Institutional Programme: for in-person L&R, digital score report 1 working day after the exam; for 4 Skills approx. 14 working days; slightly different deadlines apply to online tests. Public Programme: for L&R usually online 1–3 hours after the test, for 4 Skills within 7 working days.
How long is my TOEIC® result valid?
TOEIC® results are usually valid for 2 years from the test date. Please check the specific requirements of your employer or target institution.
What identification do I need?
A valid passport or identity card is required for both in-person and online exams (identity check before the test starts).
