The certificate German B1 (ZD B1) is recognised by the Federal Ministry for Migration and Refugees as a final examination in an integration course and is also a prerequisite for acquiring German citizenship. With this certificate, you prove your mastery of the language for all major work and everyday situations in which German is required and that you can understand special regional features. The structure of the telc B1 examination:
- Reading comprehension with 75 points and language elements with 30 points in 90 minutes
- Listening comprehension with 75 points in 30 minutes
- Written expression (letter) with 45 points in 30 minutes
- Preparation for the oral examination in 20 minutes
- Oral examination Part I-III with 15, 30 and 30 points in 15 minutes
In order to pass the telc B1 examination, you must achieve at least 60% of the points in both the written and the oral sections.
